Complete owner manual

Every part of Booksimpl, explained.

Use this manual for setup, daily operation, staff training, and troubleshooting. It also states what Booksimpl does not include so nobody has to guess.

Part 1

Launch your booking page correctly

1

Create specific services

Add each thing a customer can book with a clear name, real photo, description, duration, price display, and enough setup or cleanup buffer.

Examples: G2 Road Test Preparation, 123 King Street — Private Viewing, FHSA & First Home Plan, or Signature Spa Pedicure.

2

Add every bookable person

Create yourself and each employee or instructor as staff. Assign the services that person performs. A solo owner still needs one staff record.

Each person's profile controls scheduling. Other people do not receive separate dashboard logins in the current product.

3

Set working hours

Choose each person and save the days and times they accept appointments. Repeat only if more than one person takes bookings.

A customer only sees a time when service, staff, working hours, duration, buffers, appointments, and blocked time all permit it.

4

Add business details

Confirm the public name, description, phone, email, address, timezone, logo, colours, website, and social profiles.

Timezone is operational data, not decoration. It controls how appointment and reminder times are presented.

5

Test as a customer

Use a private browser and an alternate email address to complete one booking. Check the dashboard, confirmation email, manage link, cancellation flow, and every calendar option.

Do not publish the link because the page looks finished. Publish it only after the complete test passes.

6

Share one official link

Put the tested link on the website, Google Business Profile, social profiles, email signature, text templates, flyers, and QR materials.

If the booking slug changes, replace the old link everywhere.

Part 2

The simple daily routine

Start of day

Open Overview, check Calendar, review Notifications, and open appointments that need preparation.

During the day

Add phone or walk-in appointments, update cancellations, and adjust availability before a changed time is offered.

End of day

Mark completed appointments and genuine no-shows, review tomorrow's schedule, and follow up when a customer email fails.

Part 3

Part 4

What the customer experiences

1. Choose service
2. Choose staff
3. Choose time
4. Enter details
5. Review & book
Customers do not create an account. Email is optional, but bookings without email cannot receive email confirmation or reminders. The server rechecks the selected slot before saving and rejects a competing booking when another customer gets the same staff/time first.

Part 5

Email, notifications, and calendars

Email follow-up

With a valid customer email and configured production delivery, Booksimpl sends confirmation and approximately 24-hour and 2-hour reminders. Notifications show booking activity and email status. SMS, WhatsApp, and native push are not currently included.

Add to calendar

Customers can create a Google or Outlook event or download an Apple/iCal-compatible file. This is add-to-calendar functionality, not two-way calendar synchronization or automatic conflict import.

Part 8

Troubleshooting

No available times appear

Confirm the service is active, an active person performs it, that person has availability, the duration fits, no appointment or blocked time overlaps, the date is in the future, and the business timezone is correct.

A customer did not receive an email

Confirm an email was entered and spelled correctly, then open Notifications and review delivery status. The appointment can still be valid when email fails. Ask the customer to check spam and contact them another way if needed.

The calendar time is wrong

Check the business timezone in Settings and the appointment time in Booksimpl. Correct the timezone, remove the wrong external calendar event, and add it again.

A customer wants to reschedule

Customer self-service rescheduling is not currently included. Cancel the original appointment and create a replacement booking.

An image will not upload

Use a real JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF within the size shown in the form. Try a smaller file. Contact support if every valid image fails.

Upgrade or billing does not open

Retry once, then contact support. Do not open repeated checkout sessions. Subscription checkout depends on the current Stripe plan price and production billing configuration.

When asking for help

Include the business name, owner email, booking reference, service, person booked, date/time, what you expected, what happened, and a screenshot without passwords or sensitive customer information. Never send passwords, API keys, authentication secrets, or full card numbers.
